Hi, I want to use the veneziano to match some existing marble/granite. I saw in the gallery some people have marblized columns etc. using venez. It is great because of the finish so can you use acrylic paint to vein and then another thin coat of plaster and burnish? or use safra tints??
Thanks so much for any thoughts!!

Hello Jen, i would use the Venzie to do the veining...just thin them down with some water, and use like you would with thinned acrylic paints. Use the tints to color the watered down venzie, i don't think i would use straight tint to vein. Be sure and go over with a coat of Venize to give it an even shine, plus give depth to your veining. What type of marble are you trying to match? Maybe post a picture?

Hi Jen. I have a different process to get the veining. Look at the marble on my site....and see if that is what you are looking for. www.LasleyDesigns.net.

Hi Jen,

Have you seen Melody's columns? Amazing. Shayna and I did some columns and veined with White Venzi using the german rubber spatula on the last coat blending it with the dark grey. Nothing like Melody's or Tiffany's work but we were just starting out. Our client was inspired by Amy Calaway's columns on the gallery (amazing too!). We actually did our primer with a lot of movement and it created natural veining within the finish. We thinned down the white venzi with Flotrol to help it blend in to the grey. Ours was more of a fantasy marble though.

Tiffany, the marbling is awesome. Shayna and I loved it. Great website too! Glad you posted it.

I would like to see also. Any chance to post samples. This seems to be one of my most popular techniques that my clients call for. I need to post more photos of different jobs. Have several I need to go back and get pictures.
