Does anyone have any tips on which finish can or cannot be put on a fire place? It will be on the framing around the stack. I'm wondering if some are more functional than others. They are wanting the textured old world finishe. Thanks

You said the framing around the stack... I am guesing heat is not an issue. I would say Rasa Calce or an Aquerello smooth vs textured.
