These plasters do not need wax to make glossy. Veneziano has more shine than others with 3 coats of wax. The lime plasters we wax some times on the inside. Because of the nature of the lime plasters we would wax. Not for the shine but to protect against water spots. In Italy they apply lime plasters on the exterior in the non-rainy season. If rains are possible they will cover. Lime has to carbonate for 28 days. Actually turns back to stone. In the inside of a home the lime does not carbonate the same. For this reason only we would wax lime plasters. We may wax the resin based plasters for decorative purposes only. Like put gold mica powders in the wax and apply to Veneziano.
