Hi, just completed the August training in Atlanta. I have a client that wants her laundry room done, not sure what finish, and has a painted metal door to the garage. What finish can be used on painted metal, if any.

Thanks Shirley Fournier

would you happen to know what primer I would use. The door has an oil base paint on it.

I would sand down the door, rub on a deglosser, and apply KILZ oil based primer. This will neutralize the surface.

By sanding the door is the purpose to remove the paint entirely or simply to rough up the surface to hold the primer.
