i need to redo the vp job that was done in my kitchen me and a friend did it and we came out with two different textures it cracked and there were high spots where it wasnt smoothed out it just looks really bad and need to redo it please help!!!! i used lowes vp what they said was a netual color is not it is a yellow gold can anyone suggest a color that is a netual from lowes or homedepot and how do i redo vp? do i prime and just start over or do i get more and just go over what is there. did i sand the high spots or do i sand the whole thing? please give advice i really need it, thank you michelle

Michelle, if you go to the home page and click on Find an Applicator you may find one local to your area that could actually do the work for you and with a better product.

Applying Venetian Plaster isn't the easiest thing to do and to make it really look good it takes a trained hand.

sounds like you applied it way too thick. Lowes plaster needs to be applied thin and tight, Also, needs to be thinned with water for the first and second coat. Smooth out the walls by filling and sanding, prime and start over. Dont use the putty knife trowel either, use a plaster trowel. Needs to be compacted and burnished with pressure after applying

I've applied the Lowe's brand many times and not once did I ever add water to it....it is thick and hardy, maybe thats why Fritz thins it down
