Preping a column if it is slick should include sanding,

firmanova, fix-a-quartz, then proceed.



If your looking for veining I have never tried but if I was

experimenting I would try a skim coat of primer then

add the veins using vp primer and then 2 or 3 coats of

vp nuetral. Or vein with the white base vp and go over

with nuetral. So many possibilites vp is very fluid.

Try on a sample board or a cylinder pipe. Anything is

possible. I would use a feather for the veins if pulled

correctly this could be good. Maybe someone else here

has tried to achieve that look. I would probably have

a disaster, never know till you try!

The feather does not work with Veneziano. Linda has developed a new technique to marble with Veneziano. I will be posting pictures of a column she did. We will include this in the advance class we will be teaching in a couple of months. Linda really out did her self on this one. It is the best marbling I have ever seen.

Doyle, I am looking for information on how to do the marbling technique with the Veneziano. The latest picture on the gallery with the marbling is exquisite, some of the best Venzi-marbling I've seen. You mentioned last year (same thread) that it would be in the advanced class....anymore thought of archiving the technique on DVD??? I'd love to learn the process. Thanks.
