I put venetian plaster in a kitchen and since then there have been little black dots showing up randomly in different locations.Could this be mold and if so how can we get it off?

It sounds like mold. Did you apply a sealer/wax over the plaster?
What brand did you apply? Was it mixed well or could it be pigment that has stared because it was inproperly mixed? Is there a history of mold in this kitchen? Just need a bit of info before we can help.

yes a sealer was applied I'm not sure the name but it was for venetian plaster,it is possible that it wasn't stirred very well.the spots haven't grown at all, the house is a new home 5 yrs.so there is no history of mold.I thought maybe if we applied the sealer before the plaster was completely dried, you know how some places are thicker than others, thatit could have caused the discoloration. The spots are very small.

Sounds like mold. These over the counter "venetian plasters" are not much more than a thick paint. Bleach will let you know if it is mold. Bleach will kill the mold on the surface. Try this and let us know.
