It looks like its just peeling. Maybe its too thick. Are you pulling it tight?

It may be too thick, but it may also be because you are compressing too much. Lime plaster peels if you play with it too much on the wall, or burnish it too soon. I've had this happen with calcenova. Apply, compress, back trowel, and move on...don't keep going over the same area too much or it will peel on you.

did you blowdry it to speed dry it?

Sometimes, in conditions where hte "lime" is allowed to dry too fast, it doesn't have the chance of setting up properly. When later, you put a second coat on or third, the base is more of a chaulk or crumbly state rather than a set stage. When you go and put your top layerson and burnish, it will not have a true solid surface to grab at so any pressure from burnish will cause it to delaminate too.

I had that experience mesing around in my quasi studio. Additionally, when yo put on the first coasts, just float them on, don't be burnishing too muhc or pulling too much, the goal is just to lay it on in a nice pattern, whether floated out or rustic/skipped. Only the final coat is pressed in, only the final coat is, for the most part, allowed to close pours (bring up shine. You might also be semi burnishing the beneath coats a an alternative troubleshooting idea.
