Hi , has anyone ever done veniziano in black.
How effective is the look , is it advisable to tint the primer as well.
Thanks in advance
Gary

I have never gone totally black, but I have done almost black charcoal finishes. I really dig 'em.

Very nice looking panels.

With the black, you need to be careful not to overtint the plaster. Keep tinting until you get to a deep charcoal color,..add little by little until you reach black then stop adding tint.
It is very easy to add too much black tint.
When you do, you loose allot of detail (done it)

One other thing to keep in mind is that the more you work the darker colors the cloudier they tend to get. Black, for example will end up w/ more grey tones the more you work it.

Really? I got a cloudy red once because I used universals rather than artenova in a desperate pinch. I have done some pretty deep color with no problems. Charcoals, blue, reds, and purples

I agree with Amy,I have no problems with dark finishes as long as they are tinted with Artenova's.
