The size of the grain of marble dictates the amount of shine. Marmorino usually is referred to a plaster with larger grains and will have a satin finish. Veneziano and spatulata is usually referring to a high shine because the marble is more like flour. Veneziano is referred to usually as a resin based plaster and Spatulata is a modified lime.
