first of all i do want to thank all of you who have replied to my posts and helping me i did take the advice sand prime and start over, it came out beautiful but i want more veining and a texture to it i have already burnished and polished and i am using lowes brand my question is after all that can i do more coats? all so is there a time limit when i can go back and put more coats on it will be about 24hours before i can get back to it. thank you again for all you help. michelle

My thinking is yes, but have not used it. I would try on a sample board and see first.

Yes, Doyle is right on. it is also easier to drop back and burnish right before it totally dries. I use a clean dry terry cloth on Lowes plaster and it works great. If you want more veining/texture, take the origional color and cut with untinted VP to get more variation. Just be sure to pull tightly over the previous coat. I actually waited one month and applied Lowe's "signature " plaster to a finished job.It worked fine but usually it seems to come in slightly lighter, but smoother.
I "burnish " and "burnish" and... well you get the idea. Only reapplied in a small 5 ft. section and then worked liked the devil to "blend " the lighter color .
It came out fine. Shine /glow was even more pronounced.
Keep in mind i am a amateur compared to the knowledable professional on this site .
