HEY EVERYBODY, I AM WORKING W/ A CLIENT DOING A COUPLE OF SPACES W/ V.P. BUT THEY ALSO WANT SOME FAUX PAINTING DONE, COULD ANY OF YOU WIZE & WIZZARDS GIVE ME AN IDEA ON HOW TO CHARGE THEM PER/SQ FT OR ROOM THANKS BOBBY PESARE

Bobby...it depends a lot on what type of Faux Finish you are doing. A good rule is a dollar per pass....that is everytime you go around the room with one layer you charge one dollar per sq ft. If the room had 300 sq ft and you went around it with three different layers, then I would charge $5 a sq ft ( $2 for the first color, then $1 for taping/untaping, and $1 for each color added, wether it is applied seperately or at the same time 2+1+1+1=5) For a one color wash, it ranges around $3 a sq ft... Give us an idea of the finish and maybe I can give you a more exact price for that technique. There may be others in your area that will do it for less....but you have to decide how much you are willing to work that day for and what your expenses are that need to be covered. A faux plaster with JC & glaze, ranges between 5 to 7 a sq ft.
