My husband and I painted our dining room with Behr Venetian plaster Dante. We followed the instructions and did two coats. The color is almost a mustard color. We wanted a little lighter honey color. We planned to put on Behr topcoat but it says the color will darken. We really do not want the room any darker. Is there a way to lighten it or brighten it? If we leave the room alone and do nothing will the paint chip, peel or will the venetian plaster get ruined?
Any suggestions.
Thank you

No it should not. You just lose the cleaning ability. The only way to lighten your walls up would be another coat.
