Hi guys i am a newbie and have done some venetain plaster work as favors for friends. i practice at home and have had aliitle training. i am a little unsure of the quality of my work. i want to start doing some residental work but would like to have a professial opinion before i start. Also how do you come up with price. I am in NYC. i want to do venetian plaster as side job, i am a full time Firefighter. thanks for any help. Mike
I am using McCloskey special effects venetian plaster. i have also tried behr from home depot but was not happy with the results. i am happy you like it. how do i charge for this work? what products do you suggest to try?
There is not a big difference in the over the counter plasters. You are not going to make the same as a true Italian Plaster. The look, the feel and durability of the Italian Plasters are like nothing you will be able to buy from a US store. Email me and I will br happy to discuss price with you for your plasters. Doyle

I, too, would like a professional opinion about my work. Is there anyone in the Los Angeles area who might be willing to take a look at practice boards?

Hey Jo... I'd love to take a look at some of your samples. I'm in the OC but I get to Lost Angeles from time to time. Drop me a line if you're still interested.

Thanks Ivan. That would be great! Let me know when you'll be in the area and hopefully we can arrange a meeting.
