I wonder how things are going in florida, Luigi & Gianfranco
were guest speakers today. Would like to have a playback
on that. The faux artists are in for a treat with the Safra
company and the Schools Booth. Maybe Doyle will chime in
and give us an update on the Event.

Just to update you, I attended the Faux Event for the first time this year and was eager to see Doyle & Linda again of course (its been a year since my first class) and meet the group from Italy - it could not have been more exciting to see the HUGE crowd gathered at the SOIP booth (quite beautiful as well!!!) with Doyle explaining the sample board he was creating. Spending time with Daniela, Luigi, Gianfranco & Luca was more like visiting with familiar friends!! A special line of new and VERY beautiful metallic veneziano products were displayed for the first time and generated quite a lot of interest as did all of the Safra products. I am sure Doyle will be posting the exciting news when he returns to Atlanta....in fact, due to Hurricane Jeanne we were forced to cut the event short as everyone was evacuated this morning by 8 am from the hotel. Luckily, yesterday afternoon's speech given by the SOIP and Safra did take place, opening with Doyle & Linda who spoke of their impressive journey into the Safra family, then introducing Luigi who offered his vision of Safra wrapped around humorous analogies & the true meaning of CIAO! (I wish I had a transcript because it was great!) then he introduced Gianfranco, our master chemist, who spoke about the historic origins of lime plasters in his native language, which added such wonderful flavor to the event, as Luca translated into english - unique lessons in the history of plasters from the original recipes for lime plasters, to earth pigments & oxides, to present day formulations that offer solutions to modern applications - just fascinating & very well received by the large audience. It was truly the highlight of my day & now I am even more excited about attending the class in Italy next week!!! Truly I am grateful to Doyle & Linda for their training and continual growth & support of the SOIP - their integrity, talent & passion for this art is not to be taken for granted - I fully realize how it benefits me in my personal artistic "journey" & my future as a Safra plaster artisan.
:@) we are ALL so very fortunate to be a part of this family!!!

Happy Plastering & hoping everyone travels home safe & sound!! CIAO!!

I had set up a fishing trip for Doyle, to take Luigi, Gianfranco and luca fishing on a 53 ft Hatteras.
Hurricane number 4 made sure this event would not happen.(we are tired of these storms)
I had food and drinks ready to go. My wife is happy because know we have food for the Hurricane, LOL.
Doyle , sorry for the trip having to be cancelled .The guys would of enjoyed deep sea fishing and cruising the Intracoastal.
We can try again in a couple years.

Rotten weather!
I was planning to fly down on Friday morning, just to see everybody, leave a couple copies of the revised handbook (yes, it's finished)and come home on Saturday. Glad I decided not to at the last minute. I don't even live in Florida, and I am tired of all the Hurricanes! I am feelin' for ya.

Hey Chris,

I just finished up a home show in DC. A couple stopped by my booth who are building a house down in Florida. I mentioned your name and told them they could find you on this site, so they might be calling you. If I remember correctly they liked Aquarello.

Hey all,
just got back from Hawaii. When I was there, a charter crew reeled in a 750 lb. Marlin. Had to lift it with a big construction crane. I remember reeling in a 60 lb. Wahoo once, and I thought that was a work out. Couldnt imagine a 700 lb marlin. You would think that fish would take the boat for a ride. When I was reading the papers, they write up the big catches of the month, and one boat brought in a 1000 lb Marlin. Thats a big fish.

Well the event was awesome. I emailed Shari some pictures of the event and she will put on the site shortly, on the events page. Jean caused us to cut the show short by 2 days. Luigi and all was going to fly back to Italy Monday, but instead came to Atlanta with us. We took them to do some retail therpy before they left. Plus, Gianfranco demostrated the new metallic's.
If you are a Safra applicator please log in to see some exciting news about the company.
