Hello all,
I am Simon Fourstar, owner of WallCraft plaster, paint and finish.#884639. I attended the Feb. 07 applicators class in San Diego. It was simply awsome!!! I am a paint contractor and have been in the trades for the past 7 years. Fot the past 2 years I have been working exclusively with plaster veneers. When I first discovered these materials it was as if I had finaly "AT LONG LAST" found "MY" medium!I had worked for a company over here for about 16 months doing their sample boards and walls in the show room. I got a few small jobs and some good experience. But I felt that there was stll more that I could learn , so that my end product could be improved. So I found myself at the School of Italian plasters. I have to say that I got my moneys worth on the first day!!!!! The product is a dream to work with. And the instruction is excellent. I have a few projects on the back burner. And I sold five walls right out the door. I am looking forward to meeting the other appliers, And learning more and helping wherever that I can. FYI I work out of Valencia, CA. I am always on the look out for jobs and work. I am avaible to travel as necessary.
Thanks for letting me give ya my spill. Hope you all have a great day.
Simon Fourstar.

Hi Simon
My name is Leslie. I took the Atlanta class July 06. This is my first post, but I have been working hard ever since school. I am learning something new on every job and loving every minute of it. I hope you do well.

Simon, it's interesting that you would use that line about feeling that you had "found your medium". I felt the same way. The first time I saw lime plaster turn into something that looked like polished stone - right before my eyes - I couldn't get over it. I've been smitten ever since.

Something that I got out of the class I took one month before yours (in the same location) was the notion that an applicator needs to expect to work at getting their boards in front of the eyes of designers, architects, etc, but also expect people to pay well for attractive finishes. Both those things hold some challenge.
