I want to apply a satin topcoat to a Modern Masters Venetian Plaster job I had done in a bathroom. Must I use Modern Masters topcoat for may I use one from another brand such as Behr? Modern Masters and Behr say that their own topcoast must be used on their Venetian Plaster.

I would stick with the modern masters topcoat since it is part of a "system".

In the future, you really should try Safra products. They make Modern Masters look like child's play. I don't mean to put down Modern Masters, it's good for what it is....but once you see the real deal, you won't wanna use anything else.
